After learning about Fauvism I realized it's probably my favorite type of art. The painting above is called Fauvism Flowers, by Karen Fields. You can tell it's Fauvism by the extreme colors and power of this painting. It caught my eye immediately, it's so pretty. My favorite thing about it is how the stems are composed of so many different colors but still give the effect of real stems.
This is a simple picture of flowers but yet it can still evoke feelings. Personally, it makes me feel happy and hurts my eyes a little. The colors excite me like a little kid in the candy store. Colors aren't this intense in reality, that's why I like Fauvism it's an escape from reality into a vibrant world of colors. I'd love to learn how to paint like this.
This picture is very pretty. I love the different colors that were used. Flowers are beautiful but usually when you look at a flower its plain and one color either red white or yellow. I am a fan Fauvism also because i feel that the artist are not afraid to express themselves and be different by using different colors. The colors are different but they blend and work together and it doesnt just look like a bunch of colors. When i look at this picture i feel happy because of the beautiful bright colors !
ReplyDeleteI agree with your statement about Fauvism being extremely exciting and entertaining. The bold colors in the work of art seem to dance in one's eyes when viewed intently. This image reminds me of childhood innocence and the love children possess for nature. It brings me back into my childhood experiences when I went on mountain hikes with my parents. I remember a day when my best friend and I ran through a field of wild flowers of such rich color, and danced in the shadows of the sun. The different colors of the leaves make the leaves seem as if they are in motion. I truly enjoy this painting.
ReplyDeleteI think you chose an amazing piece of art. The colors are so bright and vivid. It is really an enjoyment to look at the piece. The colors and the subject itself are so calming and relaxing. Anyone in a dull mood can look at it the automatically feel a change in mood. Wonderful piece.
